Makhana Kheer – Easy To Make, Healthy And Delicious

INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup quick oats
- 3 cup full fat milk
- 1/2 cup carrot chopped
- 3/4 cup jaggery / gudd / canesugar
- 1 teaspoon ghee / clarified butter
- 10 cashews
- 1 tablespoon raisins
- Pinch of cardamom powder
PREPARATION
- Add little water in the chopped carrots and cook until soft. Drain the extra water.
- Heat ghee in a pan, fry the dry fruits and keep them aside.
- In the same pan fry oats until crisp (Do not burn).
- Now add milk and bring it to boil, now keep cooking on a medium flame until the oats is cooked. Not too thick, as it will become thick later.
- Add cooked carrot, jaggery, fried dry fruits and pinch of cardamom.
- Serve oats carrot kheer hot or chilled.
