INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup ragi flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 11/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup yoghurt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup powdered jaggery / cane sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup milk
- Dry fruit for garnish
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
PREPARATION
- Sift flours, cocoa, salt, baking powder and baking soda together.
- In a mixing bowl, mix oil, powdered jaggery, milk, yoghurt, vanilla extract and water.
- Add the dry ingredients to this mixture and mix well into smooth batter.
- Grease and dust a baking pan, pour the batter in it. Garnish with dry fruits.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 25-30 minutes or until a tooth pick comes out clear.
- Let it cool. Slice and serve.
