INGREDIENTS

  • 5 banana pepper/ mirchi
  • 1/4 cup gram flour/besan
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 2 tablespoon coriander powder /dhaniya powder
  • 1 tablespoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida / hing
  • 1/2 a lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

  • Wash and pat dry chillies. Then make a vertical slit and remove all the seeds.
  • In a pan dry roast gram flour until nice aroma comes.
  • to make stuffing, in a bowl take roasted gram flour, all the dry ingredients, a tablespoon of oil and lime juice. Mix everything well.
  • Stuff chillies with the stuffing using a spoon.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add asafoetida and place chillies. Cover the pan with a lid.
  • Remove the lid after a minute and turn the chillies. Cook until both the sides are soft and have some spots.
  • Serve hot with chapatis.

Potato Stuffed Banana Pepper – Aloo Mirch

Preparation for potato stuffed pepper/chilly is same as besan stuffed chillies, only the stuffing is different.

INGREDIENTS FOR POTATO STUFFING

  • 1 big size potatoes boiled
  • 2 tablespoon coriander leaf chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • Half lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste

Mash boiled potatoes and mix all the ingredients. Stuffing for potato stuffed pepper is ready. Stuff the pepper and fry both the sides.
