INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup peanut
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour
  • 4 tablespoon chickpea flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds crushed
  • 1 teaspoon chat masala powder
  • Pinch of hing (asafoetida)
  • 1 spring of curry leaf chopped

PREPARATION

  • In a mixing bowl, take chickpea flour and mix all the dry ingredients.
  • Soak raw peanuts in a bowl of water for 5 minutes. Drain water.
  • Add the flour spice mixture, salt and chopped curry leaves in the bowl of soaked peanut.
  • Mix everything well with 2 tablespoon of oil. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of water if required.
  • Spread evenly the marinated peanut on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
  • Preheat oven at 375 degree F and bake peanuts for 15 minutes.
  • Serve with tea.
