Mysore Bonda – Easy Tea Time Snack

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup urad dal/ split gram
  • 1 tablespoon fine rava/ semollina (or rice powder)
  • 1 green chilly chopped
  • 1 spring of curry leaf
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper corn
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

  • To make Mysore bonda, first soak urad dal for at least 2-3 hours and grind it into fine paste using very little water.
  • Add chopped green chilly, ginger paste, chopped curry leaves, pepper corns and salt to taste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, pour batter into oil with the help of a spoon and deep fry bondas until golden brown both the sides.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney and tea.
