INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup idli rice
- 1/2 cup mung dal
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 1 green chilly chopped
- 1 tbs coriander leaf / cilantro chopped
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
- salt to taste
- Oil
PREPARATION
- Soak rice and mung dal for 3-4 hours. Grind it with little water. Leave the batter to ferment (8 hours).
- Add chopped onions, green chilly, coriander leaf, ginger paste, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt to the fermented batter. Mix well everything. Batter should be dosa/crepe batter consistency. Add water if needed.
- Heat a pan, grease it with oil. Add one ladle of batter and make dosa/crepe/chilla shape with the ladle.
- Cook both the sides till golden brown. Drizzle little oil (1/2tsp) at the edges.
- Serve hot with chutney/ pickle or tomato sauce.
