Healthy And Vegan Mung Dal Crepes – Chilla

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup idli rice
  • 1/2 cup mung dal
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 green chilly chopped
  • 1 tbs coriander leaf / cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilly powder
  • salt to taste
  • Oil

PREPARATION

  • Soak rice and mung dal for 3-4 hours. Grind it with little water. Leave the batter to ferment (8 hours).
  • Add chopped onions, green chilly, coriander leaf, ginger paste, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt to the fermented batter. Mix well everything. Batter should be dosa/crepe batter consistency. Add water if needed.
  • Heat a pan, grease it with oil. Add one ladle of batter and make dosa/crepe/chilla shape with the ladle.
  • Cook both the sides till golden brown. Drizzle little oil (1/2tsp) at the edges.
  • Serve hot with chutney/ pickle or tomato sauce.
