INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup phool makhana / fox nuts / popped lotus seeds
- 2 cup milk (full fat)
- 4 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk or sugar (adjust as required)
- 5-10 almonds chopped
- 1 tablespoon ghee
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
PREPARATION
- Heat a pan and melt ghee in it. Fry makhana in ghee until crispy.
- Let the fried makhana cool. Take it in a ziplock and crush using a rolling pin.
- Take the crushed makhana in heavy bottom pan, add milk and boil on low flame.
- Once the milk starts boiling add sugar or condensed milk. Condensed milk gives a better taste. Cook for 5 more minutes.
- Add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits.
- Garnish with dry fruits. Serve hot or chilled.
