Gluten Free Bajra Cookies /Pearl Millet Cookies

Siniscollection's easy bajra / pearl millet cookies stacked with tea

These gluten free bajra cookies/ pearmillet cookies were so light and melt in mouth. Bajra or pearl millet is the most commonly grown millet. It is great for health, as it is rich in vitamin B. It is also good for heart, prevents diabetes, controls cholesterol and even detoxifies your body. Best part is it is gluten free. It can be used to make roti/breads, ladoo, cookies etc.

I never thought I will make bajra cookies (pearl millet/ kambu) ever. I bought bajra(pearl millet) flour thinking of making nice soft and thin bajra roti’s with saag during winters. But that didn’t turn out well. Ended up making these cookies. Which were great 😛 We loved it, even the little one like it (which is an achievement 😛 ).

I usually make cookies with whole wheat flour and jaggery. This was something different. Bajra cookies don’t look as good as other cookies due to the colour of the flour (also as I didn’t add any dry fruit for garnish). However, you can definitely garnish these cookies with dry fruits.

Bajra cookies are made up of simple ingredients and are very easy to make. Try it, you will make it again and again. Also, if you make them don’t forget to share on instagram with the hashtag #siniscollection .
