INGREDIENTS
- 2 green plantains
- Coconut oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
PREPARATION
- Peel plantains and cut into disc shape.
- Heat a pan and add 2 tbs of coconut oil.
- Add plantains and cook each side for two minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from the pan and press them with the help of a spatula or spoon.
- In the same pan add 1tbs of oil and refry tostones for 1 minute each side.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
NOTES
- You can use dark green or yellow plantains. Just change the cooking time. Cook less for ripe bananas.
