INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups full fat milk
  • 2 tablespoon basmati rice
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rose syrup or rooh afza
Ramadan Special Easy Rose Phirni With Rice

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Wash and soak 2 tablespoon of basmati rice in some water for half an hour.
  • Drain the water, and dry the rice on a cloth or paper towel. Grind the rice into semolina or sooji consistency.
  • In a thick bottom pan, boil 3 cups of full fat milk.
  • Once the milk starts boiling, add the ground rice.
  • Stir until the rice is soft. Now add sugar and cook on low flame.
  • Keep scraping the side and cook for 10 more minutes or until the milk is thick.
  • Off the flame and add rose syrup or rooh afza.
  • Garnish with dry fruits and serve hot or chilled.
