Easy To Make Eggless Tutti Frutti Cake
To make marble or zebra cake you can either make batter in 2 separate bowls or you can make one batch of batter and then divide it into two parts. Finally add cocoa powder to one part. I made two different batter in different bowls.
INGREDIENTS FOR VANILLA (WHITE) BATTER
- 1 cup all purpose flour or maida
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup dahi or plain yoghurt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup any oil (I used canola oil)
- 2 tablespoon of water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
PREPARATION OF VANILLA BATTER
- In a bowl take dahi, sugar, oil and vanilla extract. With the help of a whisk mix everthing well till the sugar melts.
- Now add maida (all purpose flour), baking soda and baking powder to the sugar mixture.
- Fold (mix) the batter well. If the batter is very thick you can add 2-3 tablespoon of water and fold well.
- Vanilla batter is ready. Keep it aside.
INGREDIENTS FOR CHOCOLATE (BROWN) BATTER
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour (maida)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup dahi or plain yoghurt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoon of water
- 1/4 cup oil
PREPARATION OF CHOCOLATE BATTER
- In a bowl take dahi, sugar, oil and vanilla extract. With the help of a whisk mix everthing well till the sugar melts.
- Now add maida (all purpose flour), cocoa powder, baking soda and baking powder to the sugar mixture.
- Fold (mix) the batter well. If the batter is very thick you can add 2-3 tablespoon of water and fold well.
- Chocolate batter is ready.
BAKING INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven at 350F.
- Line the bottom of a loaf pan or cake tin with parchment paper.
- Now with the help of a spoon pour 2 tablespoon of the vanilla batter in the centre of the baking pan.
- Next pour one tablespoon of chocolate batter in the middle of the vanilla batter.
- Again pour 1 or two tablespoon of vanilla batter in the middle of the chocolate layer.
- Keep repeating until both the batter are finished.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350F. Baking time depends on your oven, bake until a toothpick come clear from the centre of a cake.
- Let the cake cool at room temperature.Cut thick slices and enjoy with tea.
