I knew about Tulika publications also known as Tulika books before A was born. On our second visit to India I ordered few books for him as birthday gift and was very excited when they reached home before us 😛 If you are planning to raise a book lover and do not want to stick only to those few “popular books” (which are ridiculously expensive) then Tulika books are for you. An independent publishing house, that cover a range of genres but focus on multilingual picture books for children – in English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Bengali – to make more books accessible to more children.

GAJAPATI KULAPATI – ASHOK RAJAGOPALAN
Gajapati is the cutest elephant in town, who catches cold and what follows next. A loved this story book. He knows it word by word and enjoys every single time we read it. I think this book is classic and toddlers will love it. This book is a perfect gift for age 2+ group.
PURPLE JOJO-SAMEERA ZIA QURESHI PICTURES-JAIKAR MARUR
Another gem from Tulika publication and our second favourite book. We just love this book and have read it countless time. It’s still as engaging as it was the first time. A white puppy who falls asleep under a tree. And when he wakes up he have purple spots on his body. Where did they come from? No doubt toddlers will love this book. Aimed for age 3+ and is bilingual.
AANA AND CHENA-SOWMYA RAJENDRA PICTURES- RENUKA RAJIV
