Quick Rava Ladoo

Siniscollection's rava ladoo garnished with cashewnuts

This is my go to rava laddoo recipe for any festival.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups of rava (cream of wheat)
  • 2 cups of grated fresh coconut or dessicated coconut
  • 2 cups of powdered jaggery
  • 4 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
  • 2 tablespoons cashew
  • 2 tablespoon raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamon powder

PREPARATION

  1. Dry roast rava (cream of wheat) for few minutes and keep aside.
  2. In a pan heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins.
  3. Add 1 cup of coconut, 1 tbs of fried cashew, 1tbs of fried raisin and 1/2 tsp of cardamon powder to the roasted rava and blend well in a blender.
  4. Now add remaining coconut and dry fruits to the rava mixture.
  5. Melt jaggery in a pan and filter for any impurities (skip this if using good quality jaggery powder). Add it to the dry rava mixture.
  6. Grease palm with ghee and make small balls.

NOTES

  • Store ladus in airtight container.
  • Will be fresh for a week at room temperature.
  • Sweetness can adjusted accordingly.
