This is my go to rava laddoo recipe for any festival.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups of rava (cream of wheat)
- 2 cups of grated fresh coconut or dessicated coconut
- 2 cups of powdered jaggery
- 4 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
- 2 tablespoons cashew
- 2 tablespoon raisins
- 1/2 teaspoon cardamon powder
PREPARATION
- Dry roast rava (cream of wheat) for few minutes and keep aside.
- In a pan heat ghee and fry cashews and raisins.
- Add 1 cup of coconut, 1 tbs of fried cashew, 1tbs of fried raisin and 1/2 tsp of cardamon powder to the roasted rava and blend well in a blender.
- Now add remaining coconut and dry fruits to the rava mixture.
- Melt jaggery in a pan and filter for any impurities (skip this if using good quality jaggery powder). Add it to the dry rava mixture.
- Grease palm with ghee and make small balls.
NOTES
- Store ladus in airtight container.
- Will be fresh for a week at room temperature.
- Sweetness can adjusted accordingly.
