Ingredients
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 and 1/2 cups of maida or all purpose flour
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1/2 cup canola oil (vegetable oil)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 loosely packed grated carrot
Instructions
- In a bowl take dahi(yogurt), sugar, oil and vanilla extract. With the help of a whisk mix everything well till the sugar melts.
- Now add maida (all purpose flour), baking soda and baking powder to the sugar mixture.
- Fold (mix) the batter well. Add grated carrot and fold/mix again.
- If the batter is very thick you can add 2-3 tablespoon of water and fold well.
- Preheat oven at 350F.
- Line the bottom of a loaf pan or cake tin with parchment paper.
- Pour the batter and tap it on the counter for 2-3 times.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350F. Baking time depends on your oven, bake until a toothpick come clear from the centre of a cake.
- Let the cake cool at room temperature. Decorate it with icing and Hershey’s Easter Egg as you wish and enjoy.
