Easy Bread Vada With Leftover Bread For Evening Snack

Try this easy bread vada recipe with leftover bread in the house.

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of bread cut diagonally into triangles
  • 1 cup besan/ chickpea flour
  • 1/2 tsp or less turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 table spoon coriander leaf chopped finely
  • 1 tsp ajwain or carom seeds
  • 2-3 green chilly chopped finely
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Oil to fry
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda (optional)

Steps to make bread vada

  • Take a bowl and make a thick batter with besan/ chickpea flour, chopped coriander leaf, chopped green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, ajwain/carom seeds, lemon juice, baking soda (optional) and water (all the ingredients other than bread and oil).
  • Heat oil in a deep pan, then keep the it on medium flame.
  • Dip the bread slices in the batter and fry them until golden brown both the sides. Fry 2-3 vada at a time do not over crowd.
  • Sprinkle some chat masala on top and serve hot with chai, green chutney and tomato ketchup.
