Era Kozhambu- Easy Prawn Curry is a tangy, spicy and delicious curry. This curry can be prepared in 30 minutes or less. I used clean and cooked frozen prawns to cook this recipe, so it took me less than 30 minutes.
This curry goes well with roti, paratha, nan or rice. We loved this curry and it tasted even more delicious the next day 😛

INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups (500grams) prawns mini or medium size
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1/2 cup oil
- 4 garlic cloves paste
- 1/2 cup tomato chopped
- 2 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 spring of curry leaves
- 1/2 cup coconut grated
- 2 tablespoon tamarind
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 4 red chillies dried (sookhi lal mirch)
- 3 teaspoon coriander seeds (dhaniya)
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
PREPARATION
- To make easy prawn curry, first grind dry chillies, coriander seeds and turmeric to a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan, add curry leaves mustard seeds, ginger garlic paste and onions. Saute for a while.
- Add the ground paste. Cook for 5 minutes. Mix in tomatoes, tamarind pulp and salt.
- Now, add prawns, after the first boil lower the flame for 10 minutes or until prawns are cooked.
- Garnish with coconut and fried curry leaves.
- Serve hot with rice, paratha, naan or roti.
