Try this easy bread vada recipe with leftover bread in the house.
Ingredients
- 6 slices of bread cut diagonally into triangles
- 1 cup besan/ chickpea flour
- 1/2 tsp or less turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 table spoon coriander leaf chopped finely
- 1 tsp ajwain or carom seeds
- 2-3 green chilly chopped finely
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice
- Oil to fry
- 1/4 tsp baking soda (optional)

Steps to make bread vada
- Take a bowl and make a thick batter with besan/ chickpea flour, chopped coriander leaf, chopped green chillies, salt, turmeric powder, ajwain/carom seeds, lemon juice, baking soda (optional) and water (all the ingredients other than bread and oil).
- Heat oil in a deep pan, then keep the it on medium flame.
- Dip the bread slices in the batter and fry them until golden brown both the sides. Fry 2-3 vada at a time do not over crowd.
- Sprinkle some chat masala on top and serve hot with chai, green chutney and tomato ketchup.
