Easy And Yummy Dahi Vada Recipe

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup urad dal
  • 1 cup curd/ plain yoghurt
  • 1 green chilly
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon chat masala
  • 1/2 red chilly powder
  • 1/2 cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon masala peanut
  • 1 tablespoon bondi or sev
  • 1 tablespoon green chutney
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind/ imli chutney
  • Coriander /cilantro leaf

PREPARATION

  • To make vada soak urad dal for at least 3-4 hours.
  • Grind soaked dal with one green chilly, ginger and very little water.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry vadas until golden brown.
  • Soak vadas in a bowl of water for 30 minutes.
  • Meanwhile beat 1 cup of dahi/curd with chat masala, chilly powder, cumin powder, sugar and salt.
  • After 30 minutes of soaking, take each vada and squeeze out the excess of water gently.
  • For assembling dahi vada, take 2-3 vadas in a bowl pour curd on the top of it. Garnish with green chutney, tamarind/imli chutney, masala peanut, sev/bondi and coriander leaf. Serve chilled.
