2Whole wheat flouror 1 cup whole wheat flour and 1 cup all purpose flour
1pack active yeast
1/4parmesan cheese gratedoptional
1tablespoonsugar
3/4warm water
2teaspoonsalt
1tablespoonoil
Crushed tomatoes or pizza sauce
Toppingred onion, pepper or any topping of choice
Cheese Grated
Chilly flakes and oregano as required
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combined flour, salt and parmesan cheese (if using).
Take a small bowl, mix active yeast with warm water and sugar. Let the yeast proof for 5 minutes (you will see bubbles in the mixture if the yeast is active, if not use another batch of yeast)
Pour the yeast mixture in the flour and make a dough.
Divide the dough in small ball and roll into about 10 inch rounds. Try to roll into even thickness rather than perfect round shape.
Place it on a greased pizza baking sheet. Spread canned crushed tomatoes or pizza sauce (make sure to drain the water). Add on toppings of choice. I added red onions and peppers (I pan fried them a little in oil until soft). Generously spread grated cheese.
Preheat oven at 450 degree Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Season with chilly flakes, pepper and oregano. Serve hot.
